Is knowledge just intellectual?

Maybe one of the reasons I feel at a loss in this class is that I've been trying to bring only my intellect to the class. It's a class on approaches to knowledge, so I bring my intellect. Well, and my politics. But my feelings and intuitions? My past and my social connections? Those aren't acknowledged as part of approaching or managing knowledge in my discipline. But here maybe I have to bring my whole self, not just my intellect.
